Founded in 1999, The Ben Schueller Auction Company began with Ben’s passion for working with people and his natural gift to talk fast. Raised in Maquoketa, Iowa, Ben pursued his dream after attending the World Wide College of Auctioneering. For years, he balanced a full-time construction career while growing his auction business on weekends.
In 2014, Ben and his wife, Abby, took a leap of faith, purchasing the Banowetz Antique Mall building to establish a permanent home for their expanding auction company. Since then, the business has flourished, with Ben retiring from construction to focus entirely on auctions. Today, alongside their dedicated team—including family and close friends—Ben and Abby continue to provide top-quality auction services.
